Happy Birthday to me!

My birthday is on the 29th, don´t know why I can´t get the date right......
OK, today I´m 48, that´s the truth.....but only on papers, in real life I´m still 20......

.....or not. My brain functions are like I´m at least 100.....
I´m searching for some kind of upgrade or rescue kit for a brain, model 1961.....can I get some help, please!!!!!
Do you remember the orange block from my last post.....beautiful fabrics, perfectly made (technically), square, perfect pressed.....but too small for that swap.....didn´t use my ordinary sewing machine.....discovered that the needle wasn´t in the middle.....didn´t check the seam allowances.....just pieced 35 blocks before checking. OK, remaking is fun, isn´t it!? After a closer look at the blocks I noticed that all of them were pieced in the wrong direction.....(not so beautiful words)......and I decided to remake my brain instead.....(and keep the blocks for another quilt, sorry).
Found a lot of brown fabrics in my stash and after a hard work day there were new blocks to send, just in time for the swap mailing date.....

Not so colourful, but I think they are OK......hope my swap partners like them to....

My silly little brain remembered my own birthday but forgot about my blog..... It celebrated 1 year on the 16th of May.... But it´s never to late for a little Give Away.... and because it´s a birthday, it´s a secret little parcel that I will send to the winner, but it will include something handmade..... So, leave a comment including the title of my first post (yes, I know it is in Swedish) and do so before next Monday....and maybe you will be the lucky winner! If I forget the drawing please tell me :)

Now I will jump (yes, that silly foot still hurts) to the shower....this afternoon there will be strawberry cake.....it´s a wonderful summer time here by me now..... 30 C yesterday....hot....

Happy Stitching,

Helena

What a party!

Yes, it was a wonderful Midsummer party! Lots of friends, lots of food, delicious strawberries....
There were quizzes and games and dancing, lots of dancing, too much dancing, too wild dancing.....
.....and here is the result of too wild dancing..... Yesterday I spend a lot of hours at the ER, x-rays, doctors and waiting.....but thank god, nothing is broken!!! And I can´t do house work, just stitching :-) .....and it wasn´t my "sewing machine foot"....... Positive thinking!!
(But I feel a little bit sorry for myself, because it hurts and the foot is blue and looks like a balloon. And I can´t walk....Poor me.....)
This little fellow made me feel better. He visited my studio for about half an hour, never seen him berfore, but he was a real cutie. Welcome back!

Here is the evidence; I can use the sewing machine.....but now I have to rest and put my leg up high, it´s even more swollen.....if that´s possible.....
The blocks are made for the 4SQS Summer Block Swap, more about that later....

Take care and be careful when dancing, that´s my tip for today....

Once upon a time....

there was a little girl......now she is a big girl but still my baby girl. Here are pictures from the prom, as I promised......
Here she is, my Josefin, together with her boyfriend Felix. A very beautiful couple!

On the red carpet. Guess if they were nervous......

I think they had a wonderful evening (night). They party ended 4.00 in the morning.....

Here are Sabina and her date for the evening.

And the third dress I made, it´s the second Josefin dressed in red.

Last Friday they all graduated from school and it was time for the next party......

But now life is back to normal and I have to do something about my studio......

I think I have to, it´s a real mess.....

....but look at the design wall, I couldn´t resist a little bit of quilting....

Tomorrow I will go to Malmö and visit my sister and then on Wednesday it´s time for a little trip to Germany.....

Take care,

Helena

Good morning, I´m back!

HALLO EVERYBODY!!!!
I´M BACK!

Missed you all!

It feels good to be back in blogland again, I have missed it. Think I have a lot to catch up with, but from now you will hear a lot more from me. Looking forward!

For me it has been busy weeks working on dresses and preparing my daugther´s graduation, fun but a lot of work.
Next Sunday it´s time for the prom and then I will show you three beautiful ladies....
Then on the 12th is the graduation and it´s going to be another party day. Can´t believe my little baby girl has grown that old.....but she is still my baby girl.

This is a sneak peek of my daugther´s dress, it´s all I´m allowed to show so far......

Look what I´ve purchased!

I have just started to work trough the lessons and I´m already sure that we will be best friends.
It´s so fun and easy to work with EQ6 and I will save a lot of time when I design and make patterns in the future. Only one problem, can´t stop playing.....not so much sleep.....tired.....but happy!

Now I´m going to clean up the mess in my studio and try to find my quilting projects......really want to work on them again......

Happy Stitching
