Dancing Flowers

In the beginning of September I´m going to participate in a great quilt event called Quiltköping.
There will be exhibitions, classes and much more. I´m going to show my quilts and sell my patterns.
The last weeks I´ve been working hard with preparations. Because of that it hasn´t been much to show here....

Now I have decided to make a presentation of my patterns. One pattern almost every day until I leave for Quiltköping. Of course you can find all of them in the shop on my website.

This one was my first pattern, Dancing Flowers. I didn´t have that quilt myself and not so much pictures either. Maybe I have to make one for me too....some day. It´s an easy one, not so many seams to match.

My first pattern!

Thank you all for a wonderful weekend!
Now I´m working on mailing out the stitchery pattern, I´m on my way collecting your e-mail addresses from the comments, it will take a while, there are a lot of them...
If you don´t hear from me today, please contact me and I will check out what´s wrong.

Now the last surprise (for me or for you?) for the past weekend.... I have made my first pattern!
Here it is!

You can see more pictures of the quilt if you go back to earlier posts, beginning of July.

I have printed out 5 copies of it today and I will give them away for free...

The first one will go to Leanne, Lizzie´s Page She was first to ask me for the pattern and I promised her the first copy. It took a while but here it is.

The second one will go to Sarah, If only I had chocolate. She was the first one outside Sweden who gave me a comment. That made me change my mind and start writing in English (!?)
And out of that came this big adventure, meeting people from the whole world. Exciting!

The third one goes to Libby, A Simple Girl. You helped me with the name of the quilt. I read your comment on 8th of July, and there it was.... "Dancing flowers"

If you three girls will send me your snail-mail addresses I will put the patterns in a mailbox....

Now there´s two copies left, and they will be my last giveaways. The rules are the same, leave a comment, write about it on your blog and I will draw the winners next Monday!

Don´t forget there are three more giveaways the past weekend, it´s not to late to leave a comment!

Now I think I have to go on with the e-mails...

Take care,

Last weekend

We had a wonderful day in Germany this friday. We left home quite early in the morning, drove down to Helsingborg, went by the ferry over to Helsingör in Denmark.

From the ferry you can see this castle called Kronborg. It is known internationally as the place of William Shakespeare´s Hamlet.

Then we had about two hours driving down to Rödby and a new ferry to Puttgarden and Germany. At first we bought some wine, beer and spirits, much cheaper in Germany, and then we visited the town Lübeck.

This is Holstentor, and yes, it´s me!

My career as a model hasn´t begun yet.

Wonderful old houses....

.....and here they are from the backside.
We had a nice time and came home very late. The best of all: it didn´t rain!

On Saturday I finished the quilt, the label is put in place to.

Here it is! Finished!

The back.

Yesterday I gave it away. I´ve made it for the family of Josefin´s boyfriend Felix. Josefin has stayed with them in their house in Greece and yesterday they all came home again.

The label, with a "thank you for Josefin´s visit in Greece" stiched on it.

I´m happy she´s home again, she had a wonderful vacation and loved Greece.

Today we are going to visit IKEA. There are a few more things we have to buy before we could finish my new room, Josefin´s new room and my quiltstudio.

It´s another rainy day today, a perfect day for shopping!

Hope the sun shines on you!

I´m almost there!

Good news! My husband has decided to lay the floor in my new studio himself, with a little help from me. I think he can manage that, because today he did it in Josefin´s new room. He promised to start not later than tuesday, so perhaps I can move in the next week-end!

My sewingmachine has been my only company for to days, but we have done a lot of quilting together and square after square were quilted. Here´s the result!

Last evening I went on with the binding. Here you can see the fabric.

Today I will take a break and go to Germany just for one day. Then tomorrow the quilt will be ready, and on Sunday I will give it away as a gift! Lucky people, I think I have to made one for myself to, but in different colours!

Take care!

Exciting!

Yesterday was a special day, I got two more comments. They were from Bonnie and Christine. You made my day! I´m so excited! What a wonderful thing, these blogs; you can visit other peoples blogs, meet nice people, see what they have made and get inspired. And you can show your own things for everyone who wants to take a look! That inspires me to go on sewing and designing!
I´m so excited to start working in my new quiltstudio. I have so many dreams that I hope will come true and so many ideas to work with. You can see pictures of how it looks now if you go back to 16/6. Where is "the floor-man"? I´m waiting for you. The floor is the only thing that needs to be done before moving in.
Until then I have to use our kitchentable, and that´s what I did yesterday.

Seven flowers in different colours where placed on the top. Then I used... what´s the english name for this stich... help me, please!

And here it is, ready! (and I´m longing for my ordinary camera) Today I will start quilting, but I have to finish the backing first. I have choosen a fabric that wasn´t wide enough, so I have to put stripes of navyblue on it to make it fit. Time to start!
Have a nice day!
