I changed my mind

This is what happened today when I came to see the quilt. The children told me that they wanted more colours around them instead of that boring border that I had chosen.
I followed their advice and ripped the old one of and cut new patches. I think they were right, I will be more satisfied with it now. Maybe the have made the border for me when I´m back tomorrow.....

Crazy Cat #12 has got his blanket stitches too.

A top day!

The top is finished. Tomorrow I will start to quilt. All machine quilting will be done before Friday. Then it will follow me to Stockholm. I think the hand quilting of the stones on the ground will be perfect for a lot of hours in the car.....

The next question is which colour I will choose for the binding.

My first idea was dark blue, like one of the dresses.

Or is it better to choose one of the bright colours instead?

Or the dark blue.....have to think about it.....

There has also been some cat sewing, two of the kitties has get their blanket stitches.

Puzzle time

Today I started with three piles of tiles, paws and a lot of other parts....

....some of them blue and beige....

....some pink and brown....

(Don´t ask me why this picture has turned over, the original is not that way, it must be Blogger that is trying to make me crazy...)

....and some green and brown.

After some time using my iron three new kittens were born. But they are a little bit shy...

Or more correct, Crazy Cat 10, 11 and 12.

Soon they are all finished. Next weekend when I´m visiting Stockholm and Syfestivalen ("the Sewing Festival") I will purchase the last fat quarters that I need to finished the quilt. Then I don´t think I can stop myself......

A cat catch up

This afternoon has been all about cats. The last three Crazy Cats are drawn, scanned and transfered to fusible web. Some stitchery on number 12 is also done.Tomorrow there will be no rest for my iron and the sewing machine has to work hard making blanket stitches......meow is all I can say about it.

The stitchery is finished!

Now have all the kids got heads and arms and legs. I think they became real cute.

I found that she had written all the names on the backside of the photo.

Now I´m going to add an apricot border to the stitchery and then I will stitch it together with this block. At last I will add a border made of an off white fabric with small flowers on it.

Then it´s quilting time. The wall will be quilted by machine and the stones on the ground will be hand quilted.

I really want to go on with this project know....how fun is it?

Letters

Today I decided to go on with my letters which have been half finished for a long time.

S is finished. Nine more letters are waiting in the pile. Some of them are quilted, the others not.

When they are finished I will put them on a wire just under the ceiling so you can see them when you enter my studio.

Maybe you can guess which letters there are hiding in the pile?

A new block is born

I have made a block which I´m going to use in my "Ungarna på gården"-quilt, the one I make from the old photo. More about the Swedish namn later.

I used paper piecing, love that technique, always perfect results.
The stitchery is almost finished, just a couple of legs left to stitch.

Living Next Door

My house pattern is now in the shop. Or it has been there for a while but I want to show you now when I have updated all my pattern covers. All 19 patterns has got bigger photos printed directly on the paper.

I think they look much better now.



Six different characters live in the house.

I have also taken a lot of new pictures, one of them is of Grandma´s Roses.
